2008 International Gala Award Winner “ Best Décor Category ” UNC “Carolina First” Campaign Closing Gala November 2007 Special Events Magazine

The Gala Awards competition, the oldest and one of the most prestigious in special events, drew nearly 400 entries in 35 categories from Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, England, Germany, Spain, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and the United States. Our entry for the décor award was the transformation of a student gymnasium on the UNC campus where over 500 guests attending the UNC event were treated to the experience of dining inside the school’s beloved “Old Well”, thanks to state-of-the-art projections on a 360-degree screen which showed images of the campus. During the event the images changed slowly from day to night and were accompanied by other iconic décor elements inside the gym.
